terms of business

Any quotation produced by myself and any work subsequently undertaken for you is subject to the following terms and conditions. Your acceptance of my quotation and commissioning of my services will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • Rates quoted are fully inclusive of the following:
    • Initial consultation and briefing meeting (this may be via phone or in person, depending on the nature of the project)
    • Research time, if required
    • First draft of the copy and 2 subsequent sets of amends
    • Project management, if design and print services are required
  • Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications reserves the right to amend quoted fees if the client’s requirements change once the work has been commissioned.
  • The timescale for the initial draft of the copy will be stated on the quotation. Any amends made by the client must be returned to Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications within 7 days of the client receiving the draft copy.
  • If final agreement of the copy has not been reached within 4 months of the initial draft then the total cost of the job will become payable immediately, unless a longer timeframe has been agreed from the outset. Should the client still then require additional amends, a new quotation will be provided.
  • Following the commission of a project, should the client cancel all or part of it for any reason, no reduction in fee will be due, and the full sum agreed between us will immediately become due for payment.
  • In all instances I will endeavour to meet the agreed deadline however I reserve the right to re-negotiate timescales should the need arise due to unforeseen, reasonable circumstances.
  • Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications reserves the right to publish extracts of any of their copy for their own promotional purposes.
  • Copyright © 2008 Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications. All rights reserved. Copyright remains with Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications, unless otherwise agreed by contract. The copy shall not be adapted or copied without prior consent.
  • Copy shall only be used for the purposes and in the formats for which it was originally intended when the work was commissioned. If you wish to reproduce all or part of my work in another media or format then you will first require my authorisation.
  • Payment terms: full payment due 21 days from date of invoice. Payment is accepted via cheque or direct bank transfer only. In some instances a deposit of 20% may be required, this will be indicated on the written quotation.
  • Rates quoted are valid for 3 months from the date of the quotation.
  • References are available from 2 current or previous clients if required, prior to your commissioning my services.
  • Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications takes all reasonable care to check that all material is grammatically and factually accurate but final responsibility for the accuracy of the approved copy, prior to publication, lies with the client. Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage suffered by the client or any third parties as a result of any content drafted by Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications.
  • The client takes full responsibility for ensuring that all necessary consents and/or approvals for use of images, quotations, names, people, trademarks and copyrights words/phrases have been gained prior to final approval and production of all copy supplied by Hannah McGouran Marketing Communications.
